- Faculty of Economics was founded after
the Law H.G. no. 894, was passed on the 10 september 1965, according with the requirements of labour market from
Oltenia region.
- Faculty of Economisc consist of 8 main
specialities and 5 colleges,120 permanents academic staff, 15 laboratoires and other
training rooms, a faculty libray and 10 departments libraries.
- The Faculty of Economics provides day and
open and distance learning for more than 4000 undergraduates and 100
award-bearing courses at master level for postgraduates (one or two years).
- The latter can also benefit from the
joined collaboration of 15 distinguished professors who supervised doctorate programs.
- Since 1998 Faculty of Economics offer the
possibility of training through open and distance learning at all levels.
- Each year the Faculty of Economics offer
for open and distance learning over 500 sites equaly distributed at the following
specialisation:

- - Book Keeping and Financial Administration Informatics

Admission:
Candidates should be over the age of 18 graduates high school and Bacalaureat diploma or equivalence diploma.
Registration:
The Faculty of Economics offers courses for BA, MA and Ph.D. Registration deadlines is 1 October of each year.

Services:
Courses are delivered using printed correspondence texts prepared by for the institution. The Faculty of Economics production and design team develop multi-media materials for each Open Learning training programme - text, audio cassette, video and some computer based training. Each course participant is provided with telephone support by their personal study tutor. This support helps remedy early any participant queries or problems.
Some courses require the attendance at a residential workshop.
Other services include induction workshops, skills workshops and face-to-face tutorials.
